1st of December

Wow, can't believe its the 1st. Had to break out the Advent calendars for the girls. They were thrilled to start counting down to Christmas. Spent the weekend in Clarkston, WA with Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Gene and Daniel. Great grandma and grandpa came up from Ontario. It was a great visit with lots of yummy food. Just can't believe its almost Christmas, not quite ready.

Being a landlord.....

Being a landlord means...
* you have to depend on someone else to take care of your property
* even when you think you have some extra money and can start x mas shopping a little early everything can change with one little phone call.
* spending money you don't have nor want to spend on a place you don't even want to own anymore.
uhhhgggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so frustrated right now! Our renters happened to mention (last week) that despite a $200 electric bill the house doesn't ever seem to warm up nor cool in the summer. (I wish they would have mentioned it sooner) So we had someone take a look at the ducting under the house. Needless to say it was torn and broken by rodents (downside to having an empty house for 4 months this spring while trying to get it sold.) Okay so how much to fix it, I asked.
$3200 for galvanized ducting so they can't chew threw it. WHAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTT? Thats more than they (same company) charged us to replace the furnace/ airconditioner and put in some new ducting 4 yrs ago. I want to cry and scream at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to Me, the MOM!

Well I turned 30 today! Uhgg, kinda anticlimatic. Don't feel any different and I remind myself I will always be younger than Doug! he.he... (and most of my friends, which I remind them of often). Anyway I slept most of the day away because i worked last night and have to work tonight also. Brenna says Daddy, Carlee and her are taking me to dinner. hmmmm...what sounds good?

Me and my girls! I can't believe they are 6 and 3 yrs old. The time seems to go faster and faster these days.

Happy Birthday to Carlee!!!!!

Carlee turned 3 yrs old on Monday! She had a fabulous birthday weekend. Grandma Debbie visited on Friday and we celebrated a little with her. Then Saturday was Halloween and we had a great day with Kim and Caiman trick-or-treating downtown, having dinner at Denny's, trick-or-treating at the EOU dorms then going to the kids carnival at LG high school. Sunday we had a birthday lunch with Auntie Kor, Vic, Cody, Uncle Ty, Kayla, Josh and Grandma Tammy. She kept asking "is today my birthday mama?" and I would have to tell her it was a birthday party but her actual birthday was a different day. Needless to say a little confusing when you're only 3.

Family photo session

We got all our pics back from Jessica (Jessica Mallory Photography). There are some great ones of the girls. Of course there wasn't one where we are all looking at the camera for a family shot. Doug is more concerned that the pictures show exactly how little hair he now has. Brenna had a great time posing for the camera. Carlee tried to pretend she was shy but she quickly decided it was more fun to sit on the log with sister than hide her head on mom.

Trip to the pumpkin patch

We took a family excursion to the Wolcott farm on Foothill road on Sunday. The girls had fun climbing to the top of the haybale pyramid, getting their faces painted like kitty cats, looking thru all the pumpkins and hiding from the teenagers with scary masks. They were too scared to go through the spooky maze this year but we did enjoy a ride on the tractor hay ride.
